March 25, 2009: Holy Blossom, Toronto - Panic-Free Passover
I live at Bathurst and Steeles and I have been a fan of yours for years. I
have attended many of your cooking demonstrations. As a matter of fact, I
attended the Holy Blossom event last week. I enjoyed the evening immensely
and I was the lucky winner of a 12-cup Cuisinart coffee maker.
However,
it is the first time that I went to your website. I found it very interesting and I love reading
the different recipes and wonderful tips you offer us.
Wishing you a happy and healthy Pesach.
Brenda Perlmutter
Dear
Norene,
I had a wonderful time tonight listening and watching you cook. I inherited
your cook book from my late mother. I was amazed to see that she had it {she
was not known for her cooking}. Growing up we lived with my grandparents in
Montreal. My bubbie was a wonderful cook and baker.
I loved your stories as much as your demos. I now cherish your cookbook even
more. I can honestly say that my late mom never made one of your
recipes but she must have read every page. She loved to read. I will make many of your
dishes as I was the one standing next to my bubbie when she cooked.
Thank you for making me laugh with your stories and for sharing your
recipes. Happy Passover,
Rhonda I. Pearl

for Ezrat Achim
"Norene,
"Now that everything has settled down for us, I want to thank you for the
Book and Cook evening on October 30, 2007. Until crunch time, we did not realize just how much work and running around there is to be done in such an event. Besides the respect that we already had for you, we have a bit more understanding of what is needed to prepare for such an evening. As the Hebrew saying goes,
'Kol Hakavod.'
"Besides being an enjoyable evening, it was quite successful for us. We could not have put it together without you. Aside from wonderful advice and obvious preparation help, you selflessly helped put us in touch with contacts and procure wonderful prizes to raffle and raise even more funds.
"Norene, on behalf of my colleagues and I, thank you for all of your generous help in making our evening one that we could be very proud of. You are a terrific person and much fun to work with.
"Thank you again, and I wish you well and success in all you do. Be well."

Oct. 30, 2007: Fast Fabulous & Healthy
Cooking with Norene Gilletz
Cooking Demonstration Fundraising Event
"Dear
Norene,
"We
sold 264 tickets for your cooking demonstration, Fast Fabulous & Healthy
Cooking with Norene Gilletz. It was a resounding success. In order to raise
the same amount of money by selling chocolate bars we would have to sell 9,285!
"We
would not have had any fun, and it probably would have
annoyed many people instead of bringing the Jewish
community together for an afternoon. We had a blast."

"Everyone really enjoyed the demonstration
and thought that the grill was great. We pre-sold over 100 copies of your new cookbook
Norene's
Healthy Kitchen
at our event, To
Life, To Good Health!
on May 9, 2007. Many people asked
where they could buy the
Cuisinart grill at the end of the demo."
